I’m using this sunblock called Banana Boat Maximum Sunblock which has an SPF of 50. I have been using it most of the summer. Even though, it provides sun protection for my skin, I think it is clogging my pores which is giving me some acne trouble.
I have alot of blackheads on my face and regular zits. Lately since using this Sunblock. Is it the sunblock I’m using that is causing me the acne? If so, can anyone reccomend a good sunblock SPF 30 or higher that does not clog the pores?

i have blackheads all over my nose & my pores are big on the sides of my nose & on my chin. ive had it for so long & idk how to get rid of it. what kind of scrubs or other things can help that? thanks icon smile Q&A: how to get rid of blackheads/ minimize pores?
ive tried using a biore strip once & it didnt really do much.
also btw i wash my face everyday with a facial wash, toner, & moisturize. i dont have oily skin.

Use those “Biore” peel off things. They work. Then clean your face and use a toner.

I have aloe vera gel, lemon juice, cucumber/melon moisturizer, tea tree oil night lotion
Don’t have any rose water, toothpaste than can be used on my face
Also things that could help me with doing so overnight?

Things you can easily purchase:
- Vitamin E cream (for scarring)
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil (for general facial cleansing)
- Honey + Milk – Makes a great soothing mask
- 100% tea tree oil, intensive spot treatment

I want to open up my pores before I sleep to get rid of my acne and I need a home remedy. I cant use bought products because most of them give me allergies and make my acne worse. Can u please help me out. Im desperate. I STRONGLY appreciate every1 that takes their time to answer my question.
I NEED TO KNOW ASAP PLEASE!!!!!!
I dont have enough time to steam my face.

you can use steam to open your pores – either from a pot of boiling water or in the shower. unfortunately, they don’t stay open very long, once they cool, they close again.
opening your pores will not get rid of your acne. you need to see a dermatologist for help with that. or at least your regular doctor. there are some wonderful products out there available by prescription that will clear acne up quickly and very well.

I used to have severe acne on my face and that left scarring on my face. And with the scarring came large pores also. Is there any way to make both less visible without going to the doctor/spa?
It’s been about 8 years since the acne has disappeared. I only get pimples every now and then but it’s not bad at all.
I DON’T HAVE ACNE ANYMORE.

Hi, I’m a 14 year old girl with acne scars, visible pores, and an uneven skin tone. I was wondering how I can correct this. I have made a new skin regimen for myself:

-use a cleanser when I wake up and before bed
-use toner after cleansing
-moisturize with facial lotion after toning
-exfoliate once a week
-use a spot treatment on any pimples I might have before bed

All of the products are part of the Burt’s Bees Acne Solutions, which is made with natural ingredients and has salicylic acid, which is good for acne. If I take care of my skin by using this routine, will the scars, pores, and uneven skin tone correct themselves naturally or do I need separate products for my problems? I had a very similar problem! I did all of that too and it doesn’t really help and it takes a long time to make a difference. Try using clinique products. They have this one lotion that erases acne scars in just 4 weeks, but its $ 50. I think its completely worth it!

I have large pores and soft closed comedones … which are tiny little bumps I get all over my cheeks. and once in awhile I get hard closed comedones around my eyes and forehead. I would say my face is a combination skin type. As of right now, I use St. Ives face exfoliating scrub mixed with pro-active. pro-active doesn’t do a thing for me. So, what would be the best face wash for me to use??? I really want my pores to get a deep deep cleaning.

St. Ives apricot scrub with blackhead medication shrunk my pours and now I don’t have any visible pours on my face.

I have tried everything… strips, scrubs, toners, masks, dermatologist… my blackheads/pores seem to disappear/shrink temporarily but within 2 days they come right back. What works the best for this problem?

i dont know if u tried this one but try clean and clerar black head scrub it works really well my nose got so soft and lovely or try proactive

I suffer from closed, comedonal acne (clogged pores) on my chin, cheeks, forehead, lower jaw, and around my mouth. To describe what I have a little better, they’re clusters of small, flesh colored/whitish, bumps filled with gunk that rarely comes out and if it does its like a white, little string (sorry to go into such gross detail). I have tried salysilic acid, benzoyl peroxide, retinoids, clydamicilin (sorry idk the spelling for most of these), home remedies like the “aspirin mask”, 100% pure tea tree oil (which might I add, burned like crazy and started to make me feel confused, paranoid, and shaky!), and the list could go on and on. I currently started using “all natural, organic” products by ALBA, which I absolutely love because of the beautiful glow it gives my face, but still it is not minimizing the amount of bumps I have. At this point Im desperate, so any advice is much appreciated!

Try an exfoliating mask, it should clear out dead skin.

if ur gonna buy stuff to make ur own u might as well go buy a good acne treatment stuff like pro active i could tell a difference after the first couple of days…
