I am a high school sophmore. I have had acne for about 3 or 4 years now. During the school year, it was okay. I used proactiv for about 2 years now. When the summer started, I decided that it was my goal to get rid of acne permanently. My proactiv was finished and I couldn’t get another kit to use. I started using Neutrogena scrub and mask. It didn’t work very well so I used Neutrogena Clear Pore cleanser/mask. My acne has gotten worse. I have acne now on my chin and neck whereas before, I rarely got acne on those areas. I am seriously fed up with acne and the products. Every time a comercial comes up about an acne treatment, I wonder if the products actually work. I have a good diet. I pretty much never eat chocolate and junk food. I eat vegetables every day. I drink soda maybe once or twice every month or two. I exercise and drink water regularly. So please please tell me, which acne treatment really works?

I would love all answers. At this point, I’m really desperate. Thank-you.

Get medication that will stunt your hormone output, reduce the amount of sunlight you’re getting, and don’t eat fatty foods.

Also, wash your face a lot.

Hi. I’m 17 years old and I suffer from, well, acne; Scarring to be precise. Does anyone know which type of acid peel like salicylic and glycolic would be best for my skin? PLEASE I NEED TO KNOW

Go to your dermatologist and ask about epiduo, you have to have it perscribed to you, it’s works very well for getting rid of current acne and acne scarring. :]

I have problems with my face drying out since I wash it on a regular basis. I like the lotion that comes with proactive , but is there anything I can buy at the store that’s just as good?

Any lotion is usually ok, as long as it says OIL FREE!good luck!

Hi icon smile Best acne solution? Thanks!? Kayy so I have pretty moderate acne nothing sever really just on my forehead n a few zits here and there on my chin but still not very attractive :S I started on birth control, Yaz, about a week ago, and it hasn’t really seemed to be helping yet, but hopefully it’ll start working out a few problems soon. So, I was wondering, what would be the best acne treatment for me? I have pretty much combination skin, sometimes oily, sometimes really dry. I was also wondering for a body acne treatment (my upper back’s kinda sketch). Oh, and also the best foundation, liquid or whatever, that will not only cover really well, but that won’t make my skin oily at the end of the day, that won’t melt off, and that’s preferably not so bad for my skin? for the acne use Clearasil or avon face acne wipes there little circle wipes wit acne solution on it and you just wipe it on yo face once a day and it will go away but keep using it or it will come back and for the foundation use Mabelle and match your skin color icon smile Best acne solution? Healthy foods for skin – extra virgin olive oil, green tea, blueberries, cranberries, omega 3 foods like fish

The best skin care product really depends on your skin type. Clinique has really good face/skin care products though…

i have like a bunch of red acne on my chin and they are pretty big and the brightest shade of red.

is there something to use at home like water ice etc.
or is there something at the store i can buy (NOT PROACTIV!)

Try benzoyl peroxide. You can buy it at most stores, and it gets rid of acne really fast.

Also, wash your face every morning and night. The Got2B hair company makes face wash that has witch hazel (a natural astringent) and works wonderfully.

And, you can use astringent with your face wash.

I use all three and it gets my acne everytime.

you cant give rid of acne scars. Wash your face often, exercise to clear pores, and don’t use lotions.

No dumbass not to get rid of scars, I already got a product for that and i got clear good skin Now i just need something for the scars….

I’m going to college this fall, and I need something that’s really going to be a good cleanser for my face. I don’t have zits everywhere..but kind of like little bumps on my forehead and it gets pretty oily, idk if it’s from sweat or what, but that’s pretty much the only place that gets any acne. What type of face wash would you suggest for this?
