I had really bad acne 2 years ago, but it went away because i started to use this alcohol topical thing for acne that kills bacteria that i got from my doctor at kaiser. i began to get really clear skin & i washed my face with the st. ives apricot scrub while using olay spf 15 as my moisturizer.

then all of a sudden in January of this year, i switched my mouisterizer to aveeno because the olay was kind of oily and then i started to get a rash on my skin after 2 weeks. ever since that i just started to use my olay moisterizer again and my skin has gotten worse!

i switched my face wash too olay, but it didn;t seem to help so now i use cetaphil as my face wash. i just started to use it on sunday this week.

do you think if i use the neutrogena kit, it will help my skin? i can’t go to a dermatologist because my family can’t afford it. I cry sometimes because it has been 4 months already from january to now, and my skin is getting worse.

i eat healthy, i run a mile everyday, i drink water, and i wash my face twice a day, and i apply my acne medication which doesn’t seem to work anymore followed by my olay moisturizer. i’m 18 in high school. and don’t want to go out in public anymore or school.

my acne is actually more red in person. it’s on my cheeks, chin, and forehead. it kind of looks like a rash too. help!

ok so im 15 and even though i don't have that many pimples..(sort of none) i bought thinking it will work,,but within a few days it dried out my skin(however it removed a few blackheads on my nose,,i don't have that many neither)..n my skin started peeling..why??

n what other product can i use for not severe acne,.

I have recently turned 43 and noticed a few more lines cropping up on my face. I would like to make my own skin care with both kitchen ingredients and advanced ingredients that are showing some promise like matryxl, etc…

There are tons of sites and blogs online that have recipes for antiaging. However, I found them to be very repetitive and old. The resource I use that has great recipes is www.faceliftrecipes.com

Tonight is the 3rd time I use it. I do just as it reads on the bottle; 3 times a week, leave on for 5-10 minutes. Wherever I read a review people say that they used it more often and even left it on for 30 minutes before washing it away. Also, I don’ feel a tingling sensation when it’s on. Should I leave it on longer, or use it more often instead of 3 nights a week? How will I get faster results?

To see results, you have to wait a long time. It takes 28 days for new cells on your face to generate. I saw results while using it with the Neutrogena Visibly Even Enzyme Treatment.

I leave it on until I’m in the mood to take it off to be honest. I use it every other night for a week and then lay off and then every other night. Basically, you’ll see results (I do) the week I let my skin rest.

I have mild acne, on my forehead, cheeks and a little on my chin
I also have tons of blackheads on my nose…

Different people have different skin types.

So different products will work for different people! lol.

Okay, so I suffer from medium acne and most SPF lotions make me breakout, however recently I purchased the Advanced Solutions Acne Control Kit and it is fab! The daily moisturizer is wonderful on my skin, no breakouts and non-oily! But like all good things it came to an end as in the tube is spent but i still have the cleanser and the acne cream left.
Will I just have to purchase an entire kit just for that lotion?

Proactiv’s 3-Step System or Neutrogena’s Advanced Solutions Acne Therapy System?

Background info: I have severe acne with 15+ cysts, and dry, flaky skin on my forehead.

After using Proactiv’s 3-step system for about 3 weeks now and not seeing much results (more like a rollercoaster of starting to clear then breaking out more) I’m really considering purchasing Neutrogena’s Advanced Solutions Acne Therapy System.

But I’m not sure if I should. I don’t want to switch acne systems like this (first of all its not good for your skin) but most of all what if the Proactiv is working and I’m just impatient, then I’d have to wait for Neutrogena to work and it’ll be like 3 weeks’ rigorous use of Proactiv was for nothing.

I’ve never used Neutrogena’s system, unlike Proactiv which I’ve used about 4 years ago and it did clear up my acne but I discontinued use since about 3 years ago because I didn’t need it anymore (up until now).

So if any of you have used either or both (which would be of greater help in my case), please tell me what you think of them and how long it took for each to clear up you guys’ skin! Thanks so much!

i just bought neutrogena advanced solutions acne therapy system and i wanted to know if anyone else had tried it?
i’ve heard it really dries out your skin so i plan on:
using the cleanser at night with just a little overnight cream.
and just washing my face with water and applying the day lotion in the morning.
i think thats the safest bet if i don’t want my skin completely dried out.

any suggestions??

im getting that soon but from what i heard its just the overnight cream that is drying – the cleanser and day lotion are okay. from reviews i’ve read on it people have said that you should use the cleanser twice a day, with the day lotion in the morning, and the overnight cream only every other night.
